The Department of the Interior owns and governs specific lands in and around the Chattanooga area that have been preserved from commercial and residential development. The National Park Service administers and manages these lands, specifically in our area, as The Chickamauga-Chattanooga National Military Park. These lands are located in both Tennessee and Georgia and they commemorate the actions and battles of two great American Civil War military campaigns.
