DUE TO A DEATH IN THE FAMILY, THE BOOK SIGNING SCHEDULED FOR JULY 7, 2006
HAS BEEN INDEFINITELY POSTPONNED. WE HOPE THIS EVENT WILL RE RESCHEDULED AT LATER TIME.
THE CHATTANOOGA CIVIL WAR ROUND TABLE EXTENDS ITS CONDOLENCES TO TOM CHAFFIN AND HIS FAMILY. Dear Chattanooga Civil War Roundtable Members, I'm delighted to let you know that I’ll be in Chattanooga on Friday, July 7, 5-7 pm, signing my new book "Sea of Gray: The Around-the-World Odyssey of the Confederate Raider Shenandoah." The signing will take place at the It's a Novel Idea Bookstore, 38 Frazier Avenue (on the Northshore, across from downtown Chattanooga), phone 423-265-1700, email: sales@itsanovelidea.com. “Sea of Gray” continues to garner enthusiastic reviews in a wide range of publications--from the “Times [of London] Literary Supplement” to the “Cape Cod Times.” To give you a fuller sense of the book, I’m attaching links to some other recent press--from the Los Angeles Times, American Heritage, Civil War News, Boston Globe, Civil War News, and Sea Classics Magazine. I’m also sending a pdf attachment for an article of which I’m particularly proud--an enthusiastic lead review just published in the June issue of Naval History, published by the Naval Institute at Annapolis, Maryland, and a bible for fans and scholars of maritime history. http://www.civilwarnews.com/reviews/bookreviews.cfm?ID=876 http://www.boston.com/ae/books/articles/2006/03/01/a_bracing_tale_of_the_civil_war_and_the_sea/ http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa4442/is_200605/ai_n16139145 http://www.philly.com/mld/inquirer/entertainment/books/14872/
I hope to personally meet many of you on July 7, and I thank you for your interest in Sea of Gray. |
