Hello,
I am contacting you with an announcement of what we are doing
here at Sequoyah Caverns and Campground in northeast Alabama
(35 miles south on I-59).
This will be the first time that this battle has been reenacted. We
have a ridge that will be used which sits above the battlefield used in our spring
reenactments. In the past there has not been an available ridge to use for this
purpose, so we feel priviledged to be able to help in this way.
The land we are on has been in the family since the mid-1800's and the homestead
deed was issued during the April of 1862 when the occupation of Chattanooga was in process.
The battle is scheduled in November, the weekend of the 18th - 20th.
If at all possible spread the word to all you know who may be interested in coming.
This a battle that belongs to the Chattanooga people.
Have a great day and if you have any further questions you can contact us
at our website, www.sequoyahcaverns.com
or call 1-800-843-8098.
Thanks again for your assistance in this.
