April 14-15, 2012 (Saturday & Sunday) - Camp McDonald: A Living History Weekend;
Several local re-enactment groups will unite to recreate and interpret Camp McDonald, the Confederate encampment once located across the tracks
from the Lacy Hotel, where, on the morning of April 12, 1862, the Great Locomotive Chase began 150 years ago. This event is to take place on the lawn across the
street from the Southern Museum. Free to the public.
